To ensure our comfort solutions perform exactly as planned, installation and commissioning phases must be carried out with as much care as the design phase. Here we have a major asset: highly experienced, well-qualified staff. With a high proportion of direct employees, we can invest heavily in training. All our engineers are regularly updated on the latest techniques and technologies – essential where sophisticated microprocessors and electronics are the norm.
Where installations require highly specific expertise, we will work with partner suppliers or senior specialist engineers, but for most projects the Denco team has the expertise in-house. Our project managers can co-ordinate every aspect of installation and commissioning – taking the load for the main building contractor or construction manager.
Some projects create logistic challenges that would defeat less-experienced teams. When 150 branches of Barclays Bank in London required new Daikin comfort systems to be installed, all work had to be carried out overnight to fit in with the bank’s operating hours. At one stage, work was going on simultaneously at 22 branches and involved the design, installation and commissioning of a complete spectrum of equipment and systems – from small splits right up to full VRV.
Commissioning is a vital element of any installation but often suffers from compressed scheduling at the tail end of the construction or installation phase. Our experienced commissioning engineers are used to working under pressure and are able to respond to a variety of circumstances. Most importantly, they give our customers confidence that their systems are fully optimised for both comfort and power consumption.
